I offered my local sales advisor a mention for an extra car he has on the floor at BMW Center of San Antonio.
Interlagos Blue / Black Extended with all other options except heated rear seats. Extra allotment just arrived. There is some markup but possibly flexible to MSRP.

Are you a salesman yourself? Seems weird to me that your first post state about the availability of an m5 which i believe most dealers are selling @ MSRP now.

I am normally over at the m5board. I have been alternately hanging over here recently for more info. Got my car ordered in late February. You're right about MSRP as that has become the norm....at least east of California I guess. I was surprised that my local guy (or his manager) listed a markup but I posted their car here just in the interest of sharing information. The M5board has a really long thread with "cars on the ground at dealers for sale" listed. Nothing to be gained.
Looks like a good group here.

The only problem is that the BMW center has a $25,000 mark-up!!!

They have been a hold out in the markup business, Really surprised me. The sales advisor I know there is a good guy. I think he is under the manager's gun and can't help the store policies.
They have sold a few "extra" cars for $110K around the first of the year. Two sapph black and one indy red. Not sure how anyone will still pay MSRP plus anything these days.

I tried to get my car there(serious buy attempt) but they couldn't get me one. I wound up at Garlyn Shelton in Temple (where I ordered my '02 540i-6 in late 2001). Got an allotment almost right away for MSRP to my specs.
My car will be here in mid-May (week 15 build).
