I have a 550i sport and the suspension is a bit soft. In addition to upgrading the hardware, I'm thinking about adding the rear spolier, but only if I'm convinced that it adds noticable downforce.
Has anyone compared any E60 with and without a spoiler? On the highway I drive between 90-110. This is the speed range I'd consider relevant.
Thanks for any input.

I have the M5 spoiler and although i didn't feel any really noticeable change in downforce or drag, i understood that at 200km/h it adds the equivalent of 40Kg on the area. So i'm now certain that it has a functionality besides the looks.

when you flatten a corner artificially don't you reduce the feel of going fast.
And isn't that why we do this to begin with?
Thus while sport makes you go faster in the corners, you don't feel it. Nobody is impressed and you have to go faster and harder to justify and impress.
If you drive a car properly and sit the rear down you sink in the seat and feel the power.
