hi..

pricing up an M5 here (in the UK). couple of questions.

1) is it worth shelling out ?70k for a new M, or 10k less for an example with say 4k miles on the clock?

2) what is the "individual hi-fi system" option? i though L7 was top of the range! (individual is x2 the cash)

3) the USB/audio AUX option... is that USB2? (ie. could power a hard drive)

i'd really like to order a brand new one... get my own spec and for me to be the first to run her in, then open her up (post DMS). and the funds are not an issue... but i still find it hard to drop so much cash just for driving it off the forecourt.

spec i've looked at is;
-----------------------
space grey
silverstone extended merino leather

(extras)
universal remote
M multi function seats
madeira walnut - high gloss
TV
extended voice
DVD prep (rear)
USB/audio
individual hi-fi
sun protection glass

If saving money by buying used means nothing to you, you may as well get a new one. Whatever the "individual" audio system is, I would get it, because in my opinion, the Logic 7 system is not a quality audio system. I've seen an M5 in your color choices, and I would go for it, but without the wood. The one I saw had the aluminum finish instead of wood and it looked ever so much better than any of the wood finishes I've seen. Best wishes.

I would not go for Silverstone leather and wood either, think aluminium looks better. Why not go for Silverstone ext. also? Space Grey looks very good, but Silverstone looks better and is a specific M5 color.

really? so you guys don't like the colour choice?
my reasons for them are:
Space Grey: agreed Silverstone II is a beaut, but i've only ever seen are Sivlerstone & Interlagos.
Silverstone merino leather + walnut: not a fan of the silver dash, and on the web the fit looks beautiful.

oh, and i've decided that it will be a new build.

Looks great. I love this combo. And yes I have the aluminium trim.

Piano Black is beauty but too hard to keep clean (fingertips) ...

SSII is exclusive (M5 and M6) and is lighter with blue tones compared with TS. Another color that I really like is the individual Moonstone ...
