I want to sell my 2005 BMW 535d and buy a 2007 BMW M5 instead. The M5 I am looking at is this one here (in german, I live in Europe).
Is there anything I should know about 2007 M5's? Any known glitches? How does an M5 pull from the low end? Is there enough torque? I do some city driving and torque is the most important there...
Also, any of you have experience with BMW's Individual Sound System?

One important feature of the M5....trying (unsuccessfully) to wipe that performance induced grin off of your face is IMPOSSIBLE!!! Good luck with your endeavor!

This car is very nice and have a special price!
I don't now about the torque but in city driving the most important problem is the thirst for fuel !!!
anyway the car look perfect

Exept the interior trim first time i see this type LASTIK?
That is no big problem you can change this in future.
Good luck and buy this car immediately before i buy it....

I haven't seen the M5 in person, but the options (M drivers package, Individual audio) would indicate it's not the cheapest trim, aka plastic. The options sheet indicate it's "Interior trim Alu Shadow, Brushed". It looks like leather to me; I've never seen trim like that before, it looks interesting.
Please define the thirst for fuel. How many liters per 100km during city driving? Over 25L/100Km? My 535d wants 14-15L/100km of city driving.

@joebaggg: lol... nice one! Yeah, I guess I could do with some driving lessons.

On a more serious note, how's the SMG tranny on the 07 facelift M5?

Didnt the facelift (LCI) start in 2008?

Hows the reliability of 06 vs 07 models? Any major issues with the m5's? SMG clutch? etc...

I don't know about US, but in Europe the facelift models started to appear in the second half of 2007. This is one of the first facelift models, it's produced in 07/2007.
