Looking into purchasing a new car, suggestions are welcome, if you vote please say why for any reasons besides it being a BMW M5? If their is another car not on the list it must be German and please say why you chose this over the rest? Thanks

Just curious why the "other" option has to be German when you got a Maserati listed?

Good question, I guess I really like the Maserati that much, my father has one, but I am thinking of seriously getting my own

I'd go with either the BMW, Masterati or Porsche.

The BMW because, well its a BMW, The Ultimate Driving Machine.

The Maserati because of the "WOW" factor, and the fact that they aren't as common as BMW's or Merc's etc. But it seems as though it would be more about comfort and luxury than the driving experience.

And the Porsche because it's a pretty sweet car at 530 hp, 0-60 in 3.6 secs.

But, I think I would have to go with the Porsche or BMW. The BMW has the luxury and power, not to mention extra space. I am not really sure why the Porsche, but I am digging the power and speed for sure.

Thank you for the input , the Porsche 997 is definitely up there for consideration with the M5 and Quattroporte.

I think it would also help us vote if you specify for what use are you going to buy that car? As a second car or a daily? I don't think a Porsche would be the perfect fit if the car is going to be daily driven. M5 is one hell of a car, but the 5 series is quite often seen over here and I can imagine the situation over there... If you are not in the BMW religion - "choose BMW over anything in any case" then I'd certainly go for the Maserati if I were you! I just adore that car!

Thank you for the tip, I am using the car for daily and weekend driving, I am still going to keep the 5er, but I am afraid once I get a new car it won't get much use so I will likely hand it down to my brother. I am not into the BMW religion but I do love everything about BMW's except for reliability. I am in limbo right now, I am leaning towards the Maserati because I have driven my father's car many times before. I just never spent that much time in the above cars except for short test-drives, so I am very open to suggestions, and will base my decision off this. For now the Maserati seems like it is getting the most votes, let's see some more votes!!!

P.S.- I forgot to mention any car I decide on will be modified with at least the following: tint, rims, exhaust, and possibly an aero kit of some sort.

I voted for the Porsche 997S, but have you considered an Aston Martin Vantage?

I have but unfortunately it's not as practical to drive daily as any of the above, also I would probably just drive it more for fun and it would rarely be driven.

I have also considered buying a used 06 gallardo, or a 06 Bentley GT, but these cars would likely not be driven as frequently, and would cost more $$$ for maintenance. The reason why porsche is under consideration is because I had previously owned a 996 C4S Cab that I drove daily and I never had any problems the 2 years I owned it, definetly porsche is one of the most reliable cars I've ever owned, can't say that for the 5er though
