I think it's a love it or hate color. I really like it (although the Mrs would rather have the interlagos blue).

I would like to hear a thumbs up or thumbs down on the color though. You won't hurt my feelings.

ok honestly the silver or black fits the M5 the best.
the red one and blue one is more like family station wagon color. not a super speed sport color

You can never go wrong with silver or black, but i think this red looks pretty good. Thumbs up for me I just wonder if I would get bored of it fast?

Silver used to be a premium car color. Now everything is silver--SUV's, mini-vans, Hyundais. Dealers order cars mostly in black, silver, and gray, because they're inoffensive. They're also boring, especially for a sporty car like an M5. I congratulate you on getting something with a little pizazz!

I agree with caf. I have a silver porsche and to tell the truth, the metallic/mono colors are totally played out. The red and blue are the only colors that fit the M5. You can't get a 530i in either color, but black and silver can be had on ANY car. In addition, black does not show the lines well (silver and brighter colors do). BMW dealers seem to have tons of black and silver on the lots. Do a search on eBay or cars.com and try to find red or blue - much harder. I think someone like me who wants those colors will go to greater lengths to find it. People seem to settle for the mono colors just to have one.

Don't care for the Indy red, as a matter of fact, I never did like any shade of burgundy on a car.
I think your wife has the right idea. Interlagos blue is the way to go.

Beautiful car!
The power is impressive, however, did the B5 have more torque? "

It is OK Centurion I know you like blue more but this was funny to go back to HM M5s and see your comment

Blame me I wud only get the M5 in Indy Red, no other e60s can get that, do you members still remember a 535d painted in red in the UK, that was awesome, why most Ferraris are red and not silver?

so BIG 4 U and can you Soldier just plz adopt me...

I think the M5 is a "beautiful" car regardless of color, however, burgundy was never my cup of tea and would choose not to have it on any of my cars.

Ahh, yes. A Ferrari in red is amazing. But one in burgundy?
