Need Help Between e60 m5 or lexus isf
Hey guys i have a 2006 530i i got it like three years ago and had fun with it ...
i really love the 5 series since im a tall guy and it fits me perfectly...
but its time for me to change and i always dreamt about the m5 since it first came out .. that v10 scream is unique and the best engine sound ive heard on a sedan..
but i keep hearing about the v10 maintenance problems... and my budget allows me to get a 2007 model ...
so im asking you guys which one is the way to go..
from what i know of the isf has a very reliable v8 with 420hp and an 8 speed auto gear box
while the m5 has the v10 with 500hp and the smg gearbox which is a bit weary especially if its a 2007 model...
i need an honest opinion .. i love the v10 and the isf...
my fears are the smg , and the maintenance of the v10 since the mileage range in my budget for the v10 is between 60k to 80k mileage...
many people also tell me why would u get the same car ,.. but i know that its not the same car whatsoever...
thank you

If you're worried about the maintenance... go with the isf.
You WILL have things breaking and things to repair.
An option is of course aftermarket warranty.
Carchex is well known and provides good coverage.
Give them a ring with the vin and mileage of the M5 and see what they offer you.
my guess is roughly $3 - $4k for 3 years & 36k miles.
Dont settle for anything less than the platinum coverage.
They cover just about everything except normal wear n tear.
good luck
