If tolerance sometimes can't be applied than ignore is the only real solution. It works best most of the time.

Yea that could be something bad or something minor for BMW, that's iDrive relatedut and costly to us $$$$, .
I do realize it is a pain in the A!@!, but thank God you have a BMW Warranty and should not cost you any money! It can now be their problem, did the give you a free loaner BMW car to drive, while your M5 is down?)

DSLR Sorry let me rephrase my post, I have 3 camera lying around collecting dust (1 APS, 1 SLR, 1 digital camera) and I hate to poop your party but surprise the one I am currently using is a DSLR.
But hey you do assume that I work in a rice paddy so assuming that I don't have a DSLR is totatlly understandable.
Well time to drive home from the rice paddy in my E60
just imagine what I will be driving if I don't work in the rice paddy 
So I agree with WilliamsF1, I don't need to prove anything to you. I should've follow others advice, so have fun posting.
