My Ride: My Ride Current: 2006 E60 M5 Past: 2005 Porsche Cayenne S 2003 Mercedes Benz S55 AMG 2002 Ferrari F360 F1 2002 BMW E46 M3 SMGII 1999 Lamborghini Diablo VT 1998 Ferrari F355 Spyder F1 1997 Ferrari F355 GTS 1997 BMW E36 M3 1997 Mercedes Benz C36 AMG On Order: (2007 July) Ferrari F430 Spyder F1

Started my car this morning and drove it down the road for about 3kms, then idrive went "ding' and the message appeared on screen "Faulty Transmission" and within 5 seconds, another few "ding, ding, ding" from the idrive and it shows also "damper control faulty", "DSC faulty", "Runflat Warning" all of the above shows faulty at the same time! Dropped it off at the BMW service center and they will do a DIS System check, still waiting for their reply.

Anyone had the same problem before?

Runflat warning and DSC faulty could be result of faulty ABS sensor. In my case it was. But those other things tell something bigger, maybe.

Indeed - sounds like the electronic nanny monitoring is screwed - I bet the actual dampers, transmission etc. are actually fine!?

Faced this prob when I first received my M6. Apparently there is a sensor for the DSC that controls everything else. Its coded and one cannot just install one from the shelf. Your agent will have to bring the car in and order the part from Germany. May take a few days. Thats all there is to it. Your ride will be good from then on.

Thanks for your info So does that mean there is a faulty sensor?
