My CPO '08 535i I just got 2 weeks ago had several options installed, one of which was the premium package. This includes the auto-folding mirrors.
I've read several things on this forum about how they should operate, but mine seem to only open and close with the push of a button.
Are they supposed to automatically be opening as I start to drive? I tested it out by driving a few hundred feet with them folded, but they remained closed until I pushed the button.

The mirrors should open over 25mph. I know in the US your dealers don't program the mirrors to open and close with the key fob. What I have noticed with my own mirrors is that if I close them with the key fob then the moment I unlock the car they will open. However if I close them with the button then they won't open when I unlock the car with the fob.

Oh this is strange, I don't remember making this post in the M5 forum, but thanks for the reply!
Yeah, I wouldn't want them to open until I know it's safe (i.e. backed out of a tight space or my garage), so I'd rather have them open over 25mph than with the key fob.
I'll have to take it above 25mph to test it out.
