What wheels and specs are those they are beautiful!

Does anybody know what the lightest and strongest (and appealing) forged wheels for the E60 M5 are?

I had a 18x8 Prodrive Forged Wheels that weighed around 18 pounds (They were also $700 a piece) on my Subaru

I know Volk CE28's in 19x9 are around 20 pounds which is still relatively light, and kind of the direction I want to go.

Lighter wheels would make the car lighter on its feet and also give better turn in coupled with aggressive summer tires.

What do the stock wheels weigh? I am assuming over 27 lbs per wheel?

Aside from the Dymag carbon fiber/magnesium wheels, I think the Alloy Technic wheels are probably the lightest wheels on the market today. They have two styles pictured below. The 19x8.5 is 18.4lbs and the 19x9.5 is 20lbs. The 20x9 is 19.8lbs and 20x10.5 is 21.6lbs. Retail for a set of 20s is $5200. I got all the data from the WheelSto (member WSTO).

The Neez QD7s like mine are a pretty close second at about 22-24lbs for 20s (Wheels in my signature)

I really like the Alloy Technics! Are they priced pretty competitively with the others?

I want the lightest and strongest wheels possible, as long as they are a little more appealing physically than the stockers. The real decision is 19 vs. 20's

I like the Advan RZ's as well.

I personally think they're priced very competitively and I'm sure you can get it below the $5200 retail price.

Has anyone ran a staggered set on an M5 with good handling results i.e. 19x9 in the front and 20x10.5 in the rear. Or would this setup mess up the handling dynamics. I believe it would look quite mean!

I've never heard of anyone running that setup and not sure how that would affect the handling characteristics.

I guess it would be unique. 19x9 and 20x10.5 sounds mean to me. 255's in the front and 295's in the rear.

Wasn't there an E46 model that had staggered wheel setup, I think I remember reading (and seeing) a stock setup with 18's in the front and 19's in the rear.......

As long as it would not hurt handling, maybe it would help but I would assume it might make it worse, except for maybe drag racing which I do not really care about.
