Alex, this IS a BMW license plate. A pretty new one...

But they do stuff like that very often, just to confuse photographers.
Could be a PS too, but could be real. If real, you can't tell what engine is in it just by that pic.
Hi Ice,

Thanks for the update info. It is for a new factory tour !

That pic must be a PS.

You never know. Could also be some tape the engineers put on there to fool the photographers.

The paparazzi's are a problem for all car test crews.
Not only on the N-ring or in Arizona but also way up north...

But the fact is, that the M5 needs a boost against the RS Audi's and AMG M-B's.

But it isn't all about hp's and Nm's - as BMW owners know, or is it?

yes very Inspiring, it will be a direct competitor for the RS6 and E63?

And maybe even that new 4 door maseratti? quattra port
The *Maserati Quattroporte* has a ridicolous engine and I can't understand why they haven't put inside it an engine by Ferrari .

A V12 550 HP, for example .

Hope they will in the future..
Anyway, is there a new Quattroporte at the horizon ?

No matter what else, there will definitely be a revised M5 out soon with more horsepower.

Obviously, the pressure from the RS6 suggests this, but the existence of the new Alpina B5S with an official rating of 530PS confirms it, as Alpina's not really supposed to make cars which are rated higher than the M-cars (although they can always under-rate them, of course!)

If 4 doors now achieves 600 HP .. How many HP will have next supercars ? 850 like an F1 ?

A 600 HP M5 could reach 700 HP with some mods
