Is there a Microfilter status in the iDrive? I searched all over and I couldnt find it. In the 545 it would tell me 2000 miles to replacement or what not. But its no where to be found in the M5.

I checked the actual filter and it was hideously dirty, seriously dirty. I need to get the dealer to replace it but you know the dealers... they wont do anything unless the iDrive tells them so.

Might have to just buy a pair myself...

Ok the manual says "Microfilter is not displayed in the CBS" but it also says to replace it at every "maintenance work" Guess I can give the dealer a call...

On my 2007 model (pre LCi) the cabin filter is listed in iDrive, but in a relative's 2009 LCi model,it is not.Anyway, change them yourself,it's an easy DIY job.

The M5 will not show Microfilter service and Spark Plug service on the iDrive service menu unlike the non-M E60s. Read and note the mileage estimates for when these services are due and if in doubt, you can have your SA run your key fob thru their scanning device and it will tell you on a printout what services are due/past due/soon to be due.

actually it does. i know because my service indication came up and i checked my status from the Idrive. It shows a yellow triangle next to "microfilter" on my status list.

Wow, old thread ... CORRECTION - LCI models do not show those service items; preLCI models do.

ThisFlyGuy is exactly right! You can find it under the idrive.
