As all the e60 change to 07 in March it is hard to believe that they will leave the m5 alone regarding the additional features. I know it stays as 06 till September but:

1) If AUX input is in the other cars using the same platform how can it not be in M5
2) Tire preassure monitor?
3) Soft close doors (promissed in brochure as of march production)

As March allocations are assigned to dealers already we should start seeing some info on options and pricing... any inputs?

The M5's are basic E60's, modified by the BMW Motorsport GmbH (AKA BMW M division).
Therefore, features that are available on E60's are also available on Emmy's, as long as they are standard, and if they are wanted by the M division (apparently some are not wanted, like AS, comfort seats...).

I've heard that TPM, while available on non-M E60s beginning in March, will not be available until September for the M5. It also looks like HD radio will be available in March for the M5, but will be for the non-M E60 models.

And I don't think soft close doors will be available for any E60 for March production (the M5 brochure said available in spring 2006, so I guess that didn't mean March). Here's the dealer bulletin I posted a few days ago:

You get the comfort seats (and active bolsters, and ventilation) when you order the ventilated seats on the M5. That was a very pleasant surprise when I received my car!

You get multifunction seats, they are not comfort seats. They are in between sports seats and comfort seats.

In NA, you actually DO get the 'comfort seats' in the M5, such as the ones from the 7 series or other E60's. The only difference is the active bolsters, but they look just like the comfort seats exactly. This is only true when you order the Multifunction with ventilated option. Not sure why, since Europe seems to get the 4MA looking seat all the way through.

True. I had the 545 with comfort seats, and these are exactly the same, except for ventilation, active bolsters, and nicer stitching (the 7 series type).
