A BMW person was overheard talking about racing the 6sp against the SMG. Evidently, the SMG just walked the 6sp, even though the guy was 'shifting as fast as I could'. This wouldn't surprise me if they changed the gear ratios. If the ratios are the same for the first 5 or 6 gears, I would think a good driver could keep up with the SMG though.
