I'm considering ordering an M5 and I've been surprised to find that there do not seem to be long wait lists, at least here in the northeast. So I'm curious, for those who have already ordered, or like me are considering ordering, are you paying "market", MSRP or a discount to MSRP?

MSRP. If you call around, evidently you can get one at MSRP in 3-4 months.

Invest an hour or so calling dealers (not just in your immediate area) and you'll be able to get a production slot in the next few months at MSRP.

You've got to be kidding Mister. It was $25K over MSRP now it's what: ~$40K over MSRP?

A dealer I know called me and offered an M5 to me the other day for $10,000 over sticker. It arrived in port here just a few days ago.

I have not replied, nor do I plan to. Don't know what color/options it has either.

I'm not paying over MSRP for my M5, and I only want Interlagos Blue.

Which dealership?
As far as I'm concerned, I don't think anyone in these forums would drop that kind of cash. On the other hand, someone less informed or perhaps lives extravagantly (read: money not an issue) would pay it.
Sorry if this offends anyone. It's not my intent to.
