My Ride: MY RIDE is DA real .-) HAMANN 5 aka BLACK MAMBA born on 16/06/2005/delivered on 05/08/2005 as following:

Anyway 13 bhp gain insn't that bad at all for a NA engine. But i'm sure the sound is going to make all the money you pay. You can hardly feel +13 bhp. (At least in this kind of cars)

Yeah you pay for the look and sound, anyway with an M5 you cannot live in the shadow

I know it sounds selfish but if i had a family i wouldn't care to much.
If anyone thinks the exhaust is too loud then i invite them to take a lorry or smth.
I really don't think it's THAT loud that it's unbearable for long journeys or anything. I mean you gotta loook this way with that exhaust 2000km or any long journey won't be that long anymore.

I?ve had no complaints from my family with the Hartge exhaust on. We did a 3000km trip during the summer and it was very enjoyable regarding exhaust sound.
After 20000km with the Hartge exhaust I have never thought it was too loud

My Ride: 545i; Manual Shifter
Nice rumble and throaty sound at the lower end, a bit loud at the top, but I'll take one.
The sound is certainly a better match for the hardware under the hood.
