I don't know if BMW dealer could do this but you will find some tuners that could remap and delimited the M5.
Mine is remap and delimited (+exhaust+sport air filters) and I already reach 330 km/h.

Well... they don't "just charge you", you need to finish a BMW training course where you learn to handle a car at high speed. Sounds very sensible; just because you can afford an M5 doesn't mean you can drive...

My Ride: 645Ci black/red, Eibach springs, K&N air filter, Wetterauer ECU upgrade, Eisenmann 83mmx4 exhaust, 20" Sportec wheels-Michelin PS2 tires, Hamann front add-on lip
In 400bhp mode maximum speed limit is 250km/h....with power mode/500bhp speed limit is slightly increased to 270km/h
