Hi A! That is always for safety reasons limited @250.
But get a VMAX from a good tuner and you do 270-280. Or the HM 60 Kit from HAMANN and get with the exhaust and all together 567 LE.

Stock = 250 Km/h
After you have done 200 Km's you can buy the Vmax package. Car goes to the delaer and gets modified a bit, you get a drivers training with BMW M and the limiter is @ 305 Km/h then.
Then you can also go to a tuner and get chiptuning, or more...
Without limiter a M5/M6 can do 330 Km/h.
