M5 problem- Vibration from the front
#1
According to my dealer, my M5 has developed vibration from the front wheels during PDI.
I am flying out tomorrow night to pick it up. But the vibration issue is now a concern for me.

I got to give big thumbs up for DELON BMW in salem Oregon. So far they have been extremely good to deal with and really care about the customers.
The car is being sent out to detail tonight as well as installation of clear bra.
CAN'T WAIT!!!!!
I will post pictures starting saturday morning as I make my way back from Oregon to bay area.

Good to hear it's an easily fixable issue.
I seriously doubt the vibration will "hurt" the drive home. You're still going to look like this guy:

By the way, from Oregon to the Bay Area...how many miles is that?
You should be close to completing your break-in period (maybe) by the time you get home.

Interesting that you purchased your M5 out of state like some others have done with their 550/530i's. Just curious: do you know if the Oregon dealership had to do any emissions "tweaks" to get your M5 to comply with CA emissions laws?
Other than that, congrats on a great car! I'm sure the drive home will be worth several tankfuls of supreme, but damn well worth it!

I will be entire saturday.
One reason why that i did not ask for the car to be shipped to me was that i can cut down the break in mileage by a half.
I will be going away to china for 3 months in about 2 weeks, hence, i need to try to get to 1200 miles soon.

All BMW are 50 state emission certified. So there is nothing need to be done. Just simply drive your car to DMV and the CARB certification is right on the car. No need to get it smogged again.

Congrats-it's finally here! Make sure you vary the rpm and load during your cruise. It's really important for this engine if you want the best performance. Good idea to get those break-in miles over with quick!
