Hi All,

While parked at Nob Hill my 2006 M5 was hit , some scraches and rear bumper was damaged to make a crease on it, so now I am looking to replace rear bumper.

Long story short the damage is minimal, called my insurance and was referred to Car West Elite, and got an estimate of $1200. My deductible is $1000, that is not a big deal, however if I do that the insurance will report Collision damage to my car, for a damaged bumper so not worth it.

I am thinking of just buying a bumper and having the repair shop paint it and install it Even it its about $1000 still worth not having a loss on the car, since its only cosmetic. On Craiglist I found a clean M5 2008 bumper , but will that fit my 2006, both bumpers have the parking sensors.

How bad is the damage, post up some pictures.

 

To answer your question, yes, the '08 bumper will fit perfectly.
