M5/M6 Reliability?
#11
In the 1/2 year I've had my '08 M5, it has been completely flawless. Not one trip to the dealer for a warranty issue whatsoever. My former '06 550i however, wasn't so reliable in the 2 & 1/2 years I had it: power steering hose blew up leading to steering and ARS failures, DSC/ABS failed, iDrive crashed numerous times, clutch pedal squeaked on hot days, cup holders wouldn't deploy.
Hopefully the M5 will be flawless up until the day I decide to give her up ... when the warranty is about to expire at 49,999 miles.

Hi,
Best car i ever had, no issues like my 996 4S instead.
SMG is the best gearbox i ever had also, it is unbelievable how it works....
And if you have the M-packet from Germany on it, bigger brakes and no limiter so 330 km/h....

Thinking about getting a 2007/2008 M6. Have any of you had issues or advice you'd care to share?
The temptation to mod is virtually irresistible. That's the biggest issue I've come across.
