That's IF he really does have 490bhp at the wheels, did you ever see a dyno readout? Maybe he just likes to brag! Wouldn;t bother me anyway, I'll have a play anything, some you win some you lose (not very often though!) The point is, even if he DOES have 490 at the wheels but it's a modified quatro or something like that, not an RS4 then I'll bet you can get him back on a long run. Had a friend with 690bhp chrysler, kicked my ass to 100, but past 100 he had just 5 gears and the car jusn't want meant to go that fast, overhauled him easily past 150.....

The fact is.. im driving a M5 and he's driving a riced A4..maybe an S4.. but its still an AUdi compared to a BMW lol

Well how much fun would it be if nobody would "play" with us because they knew the beasts potential? Hell it will be fun even if you do get beat. Just go for it I say If he beats you, fair enough let him have his glory, your's is still a nicer car and kick ass anyway Just do it and let us all know the outcome

I see u guys all use your launch control fairly often.. My BMW dealer was mentioning how it can effect my warranty using it too much or redlining too often.. This is another reason why im not firmiliar with this control

That IS interesting! My main dealer was VERY clear on pointing out if my clutch "wears" out then it will NOT be covered under warranty, BUT if it broke through using LC then the clucth would be damaged enough that it would be OK to make a claim because if they inspected it it would appear "broken" rather than worn! Obviosuly any "wear and tear" is not covered under wanraty......

Why wouldn't wear and tear on the engine, smg, clutch (powertrain) be covered? Isnt that how a powertrain warranty works..it covers the wear and tear up to a certain amount of kms.. i may be wrong.

Thanks for the help though!
