Finally had time to post these. We had a Las Vegas local meet at the dyno shop and ran dynos on some M5s. The interlagos blue M5 had the Eisman exhaust and sounded loud! Not my taste but you definitely could hear it coming. During the dyno we had to cover our ears. We dynod one M5 the black one with Haman badges on it after removing the Charcoal filters and as the dyno showed it only gave 10hp in P500 mode and no gains in P400 mode. A big thanks goes out to MONTY for setting this all up.

Here are the following dynos:

Blue M5 with Eisman exhaust no other mods: charcoal filters in
P400 mode = 348.23HP
P500 mode = 415.31HP
humidity 11% temperature 69F

Silver grey M5 with charcoal filters in with no other mods:
P400 mode = 333.46HP
P500 mode = 413.70HP
humidity 10% temperature 69

Black M5 had no mods and removed charcoal filters
P400 mode = 327.41
P500 mode= 423.88
humidity 10% temperature 69

I don't know how the blue car with the exhaust got 348 in P400 mode but he was the highest.
There was one more black car there but it had only 300 miles on it so it could not be tested.
DMS was there also for research purposes studying the US ECU program for future upgrades. DMS sent a representative from the UK just for that weekend. He pulled out the ECU on one of the cars and mounted the thing on some futuristic holder and downloaded all the software then sent it to the UK to be analyzed. DMS guy named Darin was pretty cool and very knowledgeable, he said they have several in Europe running 545+ with their remap. Darin did not remap any cars on this visit because they want to study the US version of the ECU which he said is severely crippled and detuned compared to the rest of the world.

The guy from DMS UK was the chap who re-mapped my 535D a couple of weeks ago. He went to Greece for some mapping work before flying out to Vegas.

The numbers you get when you buy the car (eg 507 bhp m5) are the flywheel hp. On road, the actual hp that reach the wheels are much less due to the transmision and all other stuff. FHP differs from wheel hp.
I don't know other dynos and can't recall other hp figures but it seems a bit too low.

US gets the shaft. Great. Thanks BMWNA.

Thanks for the info and the pics TV550. Should have put your car up there for comparisons.

Gimme a IB M5, with Eisenmann and remove Charcoal filter please.

It was debadged then rebadged. I told him that you paid 100k US for that badge I would keep it on. He agreed also.

Yeah Darin gets around he flys all over Europe and Asia just to remap cars. What a job!
