And on track who wins ?
ROTFL!

Guys, a friend has Ferrari F430 and a par of times I drove that for 10 minutes in race mode ... No comparison
When you pass with F430 people do ... M5 .. There are many M5 in my city but is an E60 like 530d, only faster .

Sound, sensations, the Cambiocorsa gearbox is incredible ... F430 is a supercar, M5 is only a faster 545i .

And in less than one year will arrive F430 Challenge Stradale, 520 cv, 1200 Kg (the normale is 1500 kg) : bye bye Porsche .

The M5 is an engineering marvel. Handles great and sounds the part too. It is one of the ultimate expressions of "practical fun" with a low center of gravity- which in my opinion is a must at speeds.

Yes it's faster at lower-medium speeds but at higher ones bye bye ferrari.
Do a roll on from 80km/h and we'll see what's what...

Yup if the new GT3 RS will not have smth to say...and imo it will have, wait and see the tests don't let yourself down because of the lower specs to the F430 CS, cuz HP and weight are 2 factors to take into consideration but not alone to make a really fast car. I for one bealive they will be neck and neck. But indeed when the GT2 will come out....bye bye Ferrari

The M5 started from a different role of what the machine should suppose to be. In other words the M5 was never supposed to be a competitor in looks and stunning. Like all the m5s over the years, they were typical german saloons but with sleeper modes, you got really powerfull cars hidden under the shape of an ordinary 5 series and that gave the sleeper looks. It's a bit sick to drive such a machine for the non-conneseurs, cuz you can get killed in an instant just by challanging such a car. That's how those models were made. They were never targeted as the shouting and heeeey look at me type of car. Discretion was the key word, smth Ferrari lacks of. And indeed imo sometimes i would feel embarassed driving a Ferrari. So from the looks point of view it's not right to compare the 2. The E60 has already a bold and futuristic design for a 4 door saloon.

AND NO...if you would have ever driven an M5 you couldn't have said such a thing (that an M5 is just an E60 or a faster 545i). It's miles better than any of the E60 models. It's absolutley blowing as JC even said, and because it even came to compare the 2 cars...WELL...what more can one say?! A big 4 door saloon compared to a lightweight 2 door coupe that wants to be a race car....

See the thread with the British Grand Prix under Lounge, with the sound of Carrera GT if you look for a true super-exotic-car with a sound to make your eyes water.

Its such a good write up that ive been trying to get 1 from uk dealers with no joy whatsoever.
There is 1 at Synter i think but they want ?70000 for it and it aint got the M seats
A couple of imports are saying June/ July delivery but you are still talking ?70000 for them.
Tomorrow i get my 535d chipped by DMS but after that write up i want an M5 soon
You'll love your 535d after DMS have breathed on it.

I had mine done almost as soon as i collected the car, however i then went looking at Mini soft tops for the missus & spotted an Interlagos Blue M5 so sold the 535d after only 3 months & jumped into the M5.
