Default 2010 M5 Rod Bearing/Oil Issues Resolved?

I just picked up my 2010 M5 (58,000 miles) and drove it 1200 miles home. Had an excellent trip, such a beast even just cruising on the freeway. I did a lot of research on this forum and therefore made sure to let the engine warm up each morning and kept my eye on the oil level the whole trip. The oil level did not move a bit, even after plenty of spirited driving in M mode. Does anyone know if BMW resolved any rod bearing/oil issues in the 2010 model year? I have all the previous owners maintenance records and he was not even aware that rod bearing issues is common in these cars. I purchased the car with every intention of having the rod bearings replaced around 70,000 miles to be safe, but if I don't have to that'd be great! Thank you for your help.

Get a blackstone oil analysis done. It sounds like the owner took good care of it so you shouldn't have to worry about bearings til the 80k mark. BMW never fixed it so bearings will eventually become a required job but I just think you found a very well taken care of beast.

All S85s are susceptible to rod bearing wear. As Speedlimit suggested, get a Blackstone lab oil analysis to see where your motor is. At your mileage, I'd be doing them even with a clean lab report. Good luck with the car.
