It's 5:39AM. Do you know where your $ 100k BMW is?

that sucks...definitely the employee is at fault for driving the car, but I don't think prestige (the company) is wrong. The M5 owner also gave verbal authorizaiton for him to take his M5 the lot it seems. Rules were set by prestige, the employee broke hem, so the employee should be flipping the bill if anyone. Definitely a lot of finger pointing going on right now. all it's really going to do is jack up a few insurance premiums. $100K for an M5 tho, really?
and to the fourms.

+1 This really sucks. I wonder if the owner of the car is a member on this forum. I'm really interested in hearing how this all pans out. As for the $100K for an M5, I'm with you, I didn't know they were six figures?
Btw, thanks for the welcome to the forum. I enjoy reading the stories and learning more about these fine machines. My 08 535i is my first BMW and it certainly won't be my last!

That does suck!! I hope his takes it to BMW North America, and if no satisfaction, then take it to his attorney for legal advcie, because that does not seem right!! You know I have a 2004 e60 530i with a aero M kit and some M5 parts, and my Local Atlanta GA BMW dealer took mine somewhere when I had it is for service last Feb 2008, and just put 29 miles on it, but the mere fact they took it an drove it some where and put 29 miles on it without my permission and know how, and mine was taken in for a new TCU unit in the idrive too, and did not need to be road tested! Yea is that M5 owner a member here at the e60 forum?

Humm wow... thats scary. I guess I should have thought twice... my dealer asked to keep my car overnight and said the master tech would need to take my car home for the night to test drive it I said ok... luckly nothing happened... but I thought it would be the dealer who would take care of it if anything happened... not my own insurance... Oh wells... I'll have to chalk that in the back of my head for next time.
