Judging from your avatar, I suggest you simply walk in and greet them with "Say hello to my little friend" and you should be able to get them to come down a bit...

If you have the patience and perseverance, I suggest you look nationwide. Some dealers are selling for under MSRP. I know of a dealership in NY that will allegedly sell for $3k under MSRP albeit 2006s. 2007 M5s might only be available for MSRP. To find out go to m5board.com and do a search. If you get enough of a good deal you can get a M5 for about $1500 - $1800/month with minimal or zero down. This is a lease of course.

I don't know if you would consider a used M5, but I have seen very nice 06 M5 for $69-72, many with just a couple thousand miles on them... Check autotrader - you can still lease a used car, BTW, although I don't know that the residual calculations will be as good as BMW offers...

My opinion and many others is that you never want to put any or very minimal down on a lease payment to lower the monthly payment. The figures you quoted Jeffs is incomplete. We would have to know a lot more before determining whether it is a good deal or not i.e. residual, cost of car, tax, etc...

in the end of your deal when you are at the leasing managers office to sign the papers
you are going to see a dealer fee which is BS. Do not pay that. Tell them you are already getting the
car and paying down payment you dont want to pay that dealership fee at all. (it might be 1000 for M5)
and also my suggestion is find a very lightly used couple thousand miles M5 which will probably will have
100k warranty from BMW Certified if you find one request that as well.

ps:if you get the car dont forget to ask for free M5 floormats as well

good luck
