I paid the deposit for my M5 this weekend!! I'm intending on getting it full options minus the towbar.
Haven't decided on the colour yet, but since the estimated waiting time is TWO YEARS I have plenty of time to decide (or go bankrupt, die etc. for that matter)

Very excited though! :wow:

I'm still undecided.

The tricky part is to convince my wife that this car is actually different from the one I have now. She recons it's the exact same car "apart from the plastic bits on the front"

Bless her..

Congrats!

Hope you can stand the long wait!

I?m going nuts - only waited 4 months and 2 to go

I don't even want to contemplate the V.A.T or penalty tax, or whatever they call it over in Europe. The Government and most of the left-leaning Socialists over there will look upon you as a leper, won't they?

Fred, I have been thinking about getting on my dealers wait list. What did they charge you as a deposit?

GBP 1000

Fred,

My dealer has 17 confirmed orders with ?2k deposits for each and is only getting 2 cars this year!

I'll stick with my 997. Not as common as these E60's :D

:)

I'm supposed to be number 11 on the list, with one car coming every quarter..

What happened to the Cayenne then? Did you give up on that idea?

ISUK 01-29-2005 03:42 AM

The lure of the 997 was too great to resist so the Cayenne plan was shelved. I'm downsizing to an new E90 for 12 months for tax savings after I get the Porsche but may go for the Cayenne next spring. Depends how good a year we have ;)
