You don't know how much I'd LOVE to track Laguna again! I'll save that for a CCA meet (I know they have one soon) in the future after I get the most out of the complimentary 2-day M School in South Carolina this summer! Bashing around in someone else's M5 ... now THAT is something to look forward to! Perfect place to truly master what the M5 is capable of without any fear of destroying your own car. But for now, I'm going there later (just 7 mins. away) to duplicate the same pic that I snapped of my Dinan550. Weather's nice today, so now I can finally take more pics of the M5!
I "tracked" my e60 at Laguna Seca during a parade lap at an event. We were in a line up of all diff cars but I had a 996 TT in front of me. She told me that she was going to slow down to make room to have some fun. When she did and mashed it, I was able to get up to about 80 mph before having to slow down again. Even though it was a parade lap, it was still pretty fun. I couldn't imagine what it'd be like if I were to really track....I wouldn't want to go home!

I posted up pics recently of a Imola Red E60 m-sport and the colour really didn't suite the car. The Indy Red however looks awesome! The different shade and finish give it a totally different look -- so much classier that the Imola Red.
Great pics -- thanks for sharing.

I bow to thee..
UPDATE: 1200-mile break-in oil/trans/diff fluids changed. Dinan Stage 2 suspension complete. Reinstallation of Dinan rims complete. Props to iamsmc (canysmc on M5board) for selling me his PS2s. The suspension system is beyond words. Big thanks to ECF and the guys at Dinan for persuading me to go Stage 2 vs. Stage 1. I don't regret it at all. So far no spring problems; was told that the spring binding issue has been resolved. So far so good. One huge improvement I noticed was that the steering is no longer loose/easy-to-turn like stock. It actually became much stiffer. ME LIKES!!! Strange thing I noticed ... I got 22 mpg on the freeway drive home in P500S (with Dinan mods) vs. 19 mpg in P400 (stock form) driving the same stretch of freeway. No traffic at all, windows all up, no A/C, no lead-foot driving, and speed was kept between a leisurely 65 to 75 mph. I wonder how that could happen. Less friction from the new engine/trans/diff oils + decreased unsprung weight from lighter rims + lower ride height and decreased drag? Hmm ...
Other than that, cornering is mind-boggling FLAT. Turn in even harder and it's STILL flat. Downside is the ride quality. More stiffer due to the dialed up spring rates and new Dinan (thicker) rear anti-roll bar. Nonetheless, this is an M-car. The car is now worthy of its Race Car For Five nickname! No power mods planned at this time. This car has enough power out of the box, especially when loosening her up in P500S for the first time. The signature engine soundtrack is more pronounced and the smiles continue to hurt like hell!
Oh yes, and some more updated pics ...
