TT only for CL, SL, S class

i'd never get a mb, the v12's only rev to liek 6000 rpms and they are slow in pwr delivery, not a sports car none-the-less. i test drove one, and i felt better driving home in my 1995 e34 540i M-sport

just a few cents

Slow in power delivery? Are you referring perhaps to 'throttle response'?
Turbo lag is inevitable since the concept works on exhaust gases and will therefor create a different feel in delivering power to the ground (when compared to a NA engine). Our beloved 335i has the same symptoms. However, the twin turbo V12 is anything but slow.

According to insider sources (i could tell you but i'd have to kill you), Audi are not intending to produce an RS6 in the current form. They're happy with the RS4 in its 3 variants & the S6 on its platform. Bear in mind, Audi have never fully produced 2 RS models at the same time. Was an overlap of a few months on the B5 RS4 & RS6, but with the current RS4 only being a few months old, it's believed Audi are NOT releasing an RS6.
Audi is an excellent example of a manufacturer who 'holds back' on their engine designs. Their 1.8 motor has consistently been released with power increases year on year. Moreover, they vary bolt on options (like the turbo) between the TT and the A4 to show it as a different product.

With this kind of thing going on in the market, Im sure its a standard thought for the first release of a performance vehicle to hold back something for future hosepower/torque gains. Makes the product compete better, and it makes enthusiasts like us look forward to the next year!

Umm... BMW does it quite often. Take for example the 4.4 V8 to 4.8 V8. 4.4 V8 first available on the e60 in 2004 and then 4.8 V8 in 2006 = Two years.

The why? Competition.

The E60 engine was the same as the 745i, which had been out for some time before the 2004 E60 hit the market. So the E60 engine upgrade in 2 years was not so quick as it sounds.
