Had my first unprepared spin with an M5

Hi all
Here is my sad tale....one of my close friends has an approved insurance body repair garage. I was visiting and volunteered to go with him to pick up a "car" around 4 miles away.
One the journey I asked what it was and there it was mentioned we are picking up "that M5 that we repaired". Repaired being ?27k worth of repairs after a heavy rear smash side and front!!
Okey dokey, "i am driving it back" Truely impressed but still felt it was lacking a little. Later on that evening when I was back with my friend i quizzed him....He said "did you not release the 500bhp or consider the launch mode"
So here I am gutted that I did not do my homework to release its potential.....anyway loved the car, pop up display was something else, very easy to drive and happy that I have the 530d with all that torque. Its out of my system for now.......
