My Ride: 2011 550i AW - every option
Default

So my 07 M's warranty expires around thanksgiving. The dealer said that an additional 3 years/100k coverage w/o maintenance costs $6350.00.

Are there any other options out there? If so, what have people purchased and what are they like?
I'm very hesitant on after market warranties, but am open to being sold on one if enough people have bought em with good experiences and decent terms & conditions.

Please advise

I personally would only stick w/ dealer warranty so there is no BS... just my opinion.
I had an 06 m5 that was out of warranty and i bought an 09 for double the price just so i'd have warranty, even though the third party warranty wud have saved my bank, but i just dun trust em....

zurich warranty, i dealt w/ vishal pandya already about that too before i traded in my car. I mean the guy was decent but its all games though. He wanted to back date my contract and quoted my for 6k or so... i'd def go w/ bmw warranty.. no matter what.

That seems expensive. Back in January I bought a BMW extended vehicle protection (powertrain plus) contract with coverage to 70,000 total miles / 3 additional years for $3,420. I only had about 22,500 miles on my M5 at the time.

BMW has a bunch of plans you can price with variable levels of coverage and a mix of durations / mileage. I value having a BMW plan because no matter where I take the car, a BMW dealer will see that I have the plan and there won't be any questions.

The bottom line with these machines is that it would be too risky to go naked without some sort of coverage.
