I came across this auction for a wrecked (understatement) M5. Check out the total devastation of this 2008 M5. I can't get over the picture of the passenger side rear wheel, its unbelievable! Its being offered as a wreck salvage, but theres not too much that seems pristine on this horror show. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/BMW-5-Serie...sspagenameZWDVW

While I hope the driver of this wrecked beauty was able to walk away from the wreck...WTF did they do to this once-amazing machine???? Highand is an hour out from me - Im tempted to see this monstrosity with my own eyes....wow. It is a testiment to the safety features inherent in modern BMW cars. Passengers in this car at east had a good chance for survival as the passenger compartment seems intact. More pics here

I can't even begin to imagine how fast that thing was moving when it crashed and rolled.

The ! between the speedo/tach says it all.

I think that you are over reacting. A little wax and maybe a clay bar treatment and she will be good to go

13K!!! the cost of pulling that engine out and fixing the pan will be more than a new M5 engine! I thought I remember reading that the M5 engine is about $20K.
