The guy in the M5 was drifting - he was just messing about and CSL still struggled to get past him.

Incredible cars - especially the M5

IMO, i kinda interpreted this way from what i saw, the guy in the csl didn't have too much trouble keeping pase in the turns, while the m5 wich is waaaaay heavier, and a whole different set-up of a car had problems keeping in front of the csl. IMO it had only 2 options since at the end of every straight he had the lead because of the power, he had to brake as hard as he could and as late not to loose to the csl on the braking (wich on a simple comparative test the csl would win) and then try whatever it takes to hold the ideal line. IMHO the csl was way faster on the corners, where the m5 had to literally drift just not to allow the csl to get passed by him. He had to hold the csl in the back just till the exit of the corners...and after that the story kinda repeats itself. If i were on that track and had to choose wich car to drive, sorry it simply had to be the CSL. The m5 started to drift when the csl wanted to pass, because he knew that was the only way not to give up the optimum line. Do you realise how quick the csl was on those corners? And it didn't even start to loose traction...

on the braking test, they mentioned 'mistake or error' when refering to the CLS and on the slalom the CLS felt 'heavy or slow?'
