Does anyone else mind the large amounts of brake dust that are generated by the factory pads?? It seems to be all over the wheels every few days. I previously solved this with a ZO6 with either Stop Tech or Carbo Tech pads which were very low dust. Any suggestions??

If you think M5 brake dust is bad, then you should see the non-M5 E60 dust...5 times as bad. What the M5 pads give off in a week takes a day on the others.

M5 Brake Dust Follow-up

For all forum members that are interested in this topic, I was able to contact the folks at Carbotech Brakes and they do have a very low dust pad which is equal or better factory pad. I have used carbotechs on other cars and have not been disappointed with any product and there assistance is excellent. I ordered a set for all four corners and it came to $306 plus shipping. As a plus to this product, it will outlast the factory pad by a good sum and will be more rotor friendly. PM me if you need any other info. Thanks.

I get a LOT of brake dust. But, fortunately, I have 124's which are probably the easiest BMW rims when it comes to cleaning.

C's Bimmer -

They do have the pads for the front and the rear. Call them and check out the technical guys there for their knowledge of the motorsport market, pretty innovative when it comes to brakes. I got a 10% discount for stating that I was in a SCCA org. Similart groups get this discount. Very, very high quality pads.
