Silver Gray. U are right, a light coloured car bring out the contours, even on a cloudy day.
Of course, any black or near black car requires a ton of cleaning to keep looking pristine. Silver with a black interior (the color combo of my dearly departed 2003 540i Sport) was so easy to keep looking clean -- even when it was not. Black car = washing the car a lot.
But black does look real sinister on the Beast, which fits its nature.
