No the Aux input will not be equipped on the car unless the previous owner put one in.. I've heard of it being done..

I use a Belkin setup to link my Ipod Touch to the car via frequency.. and it sucks.. wish i had an AUX input

06.5 M5s got the Aux in put. Pre 06.5 M5s did not have the AUX input, so it all depends on which month your M5 was produced. I'd recommend getting a dension GW500. I love mine. It allows you to hook up a USB Thumbdrive, an Ipod, aux input, and keep your factory CD changer, and you can just switch between them through your I-drive menu.

The OEM aux input is hidden, but the sound from it pisses me off...you can hear the whine of the alternator throught the speakers...annoying as hell too, when you switch to radio and the volume spikes....

i went with an OEM ipod interface and no longer use the aux input.

My advice, forget the aux input and go for a denison or ipod interface,

PS....bummer about the flat on the carrier....you must be jonesing hard

post pics of the beast when you finally get it! Also, are you upgrading from a 545? Post a review and compare the m5 to your current ride.

Yea, it is. I don't know how i'd live without the dension, it makes driving much more enjoyable and it makes it very easy to get a song from my computer into my car
