the M5 has not gone through the required break in period. he was upshifting at 4000rpm!

My Ride: E60 M5, F85 X5M
Interesting comparison. I love the front end of that Q7. It's also a beast of a truck but costs about $150K. Wonder how the X6M and X5M will compare price-wise.
