Seems from the write ups like the 555 bhp TT V8 motor will meet that concern with truckfuls of low end torque. But without big-time low end torque, that makes for a slower 0-20 or 30 time for the E60 M5 than it would have otherwise.

LOL this comparo is a joke and the race itself was a joke. I almost fell asleep!
The m5 didn't even have the LC activated, hell not even a tire squeal, which even on those semi-wet conditions is a sign of poor start. The M5 will outrun that pig of a truck any day of the week on straights and on twisties. V10 M power vs Audi V12 biturbo diesel and still BMW wins despite semi-wet conditions?

Who knows how hard (or how far) either were driving...they do a pan into the Audi while they are racing....my guess is the M5 would pull away further at some point. Cool video though...
