Last night the TLC channel's show Rides did an episode on Lamborghini. Now I've never been a huge fan of this over the top flashy car but it was a pretty interesting show. It focused mostly on the Countach and the new Mucialago, but it did touch slightly on the Galardo. Interestingly they showed the museum curator waving his arms loudly (Very Italian BTW) at the fact a Lamborghini is a 12 cyl. symphony, a 12 cyl. symphony, and Lambo is all about the 12 cyl. symphony. The lead Murcialago designer extolling the virtues of the 12 cyl. "Lambo concentrates all it's energy into one engine", you got it the 12 cyl. Then they cut to the Gallardo and it's a V10!

Lambo will always trump a Ferrari on outlandish styling, but it comes up just short on pedigree. I thought the most interesting parts showed the Big Ass V12 being hand assembled, and the test driver tooling around the village in a new convertable Murcialago........ at break neck speeds.


The least interesting part was when they interviewed the idiots in LaLa land that own them.
