Are you saying a SLR McLaren is a chicks car, your F'in crazy.
SLR is a full second faster 0-60 that M5, with a top speed 200+mph, yah thats real girly
The new C63 will have a 0-60 time the same as the M5 most likely a tenth or two faster, with two less cylinders. And it will beat a M5 around any track no problem.

Well I read his post again and that is what he was inferring by saying he sees woman driving SL and SLRs. There is nothing wrong calling someone crazy, its an opinion. So chill out a bit.
Secondly are those nurburgring times, if so that track is worthless to do comparisons.
The top gear time sheet is much more accurate, shorter track allows for less mistakes and same driver in every car.

On the Top Gear sheet the M5 loses out to the Z4 M. But they have not tested the C63, so we will see.
The CLS 55 AMG was only .6 seconds slower than the M5, so I think the C63 will do pretty well. But we will see.

Free speech?
Second:

Also from JetBlack5OC

And Top Gear..

M5 was lapped in the dry on Top Gear.
Here is the video, its pretty fun to watch the "stig" drive the hell out of it.
Z4 M was also tested in the dry and it did beat the M5. And the M5 was only .6 sec faster than the CLS55 AMG, which was very surprising to me.
I still think the nurburgring is one of the worst tracks to do car comparisons. It is a 8 min. plus lap, the road service is terrible. The ring leaves to much possibility for driver error.
It is a great place to develope a car, but to compare two different car's lap times it is not the place to do it.

I love the Alpina B5. Different type car, but I strongly prefer it to M5. The Alpina has gobs of torque (like the V-8 MB's), a good tranny, and gets good mileage relatively. I used to have a comparison test where the Alpina was show to be quicker/faster than the M5 at the usual speeds/distances, but no longer have it. Sorry.
An uprated B5 will be available from the factory in a few months, apparently...

Antiquated SMG? That?s hilarious
When the M5 first came out I thought how silly of BMW to only offer SMG in a monster like this. Then I bought an M3 with SMG and mastered it, then drove a friend?s F430 Spyder with F1 transmission.
The SMG transmission in the M5 is awesome, and far more advanced and driver involving than any other transmission I've ever used

Don't be ridicolous : the F1 from the F430 is double faster than SMG3 .
I can show clips, if someone has doubts .

I don't want clips, unless those are proffesional clips with proper measurement devices done by proffesional people that test both cars. But i would like the official data for your claim where it shows the F430 or any other Ferrari for that matter that can shift in 30ms (double faster than what SMGIII can do).
Otherwise stop BS!!!
LE: A quick search didn't reveal the official shift times for the F1 F430 BUT here's what i've found on different reliable sources aobut the F430 Scuderia with it's tweaked out model (including revised tranny).
"F430 Scuderia
Serving as the successor to the 360 Challenge Stradale, the Scuderia will be unveiled by Michael Schumacher at the 2007 Frankfurt Auto Show. Aimed to compete with cars like the Porsche RS-models and Gallardo Superleggera, it is 100 kg (220 lb) lighter than the standard F430 and increases engine output to 380 kW (510 hp) at 8500 rpm. Thus the weight-to-power ratio is reduced from 2.96 kg/hp to 2.45 kg/hp.[8] In addition to the weight saving measures, the Scuderia sequential manual transmission gains improved 'Superfast' software for faster 60 millisecond shift-times. A new traction control system combines the F1-Trac traction and stability control with the E-Diff electronic differential."
"Ferrari didn't forget about the rest of the car, outfitting it with the latest technology from the company's F1 program. An update to the transmission brings shift times down to a lightning-quick 60 milliseconds, while the traction and stability systems also get a race-inspired update."
