The Maserati Quttroporte is faster across a track. Of course the M5 will be the fastest in straight line.
Did the QP complete other tracks quicker than the M5 or was it just the one?
(Geez, I forgot the name of that track, sorry. LOL)
Appereantly not....just one...........LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL
Well, we are going to have to wait and see other test results.
Saying that the "Maserati Quttroporte is faster across a track" based on one test result is hardly conclusive. However, if test after test show the two cars (M5 and QP) exchanging hands or M5 being slower around a circuit, that would be more definitive.
Agree! But trust me it won't be faster on other tracks...
J/K!
The name of EVO track is Bedford Autodrome West Circuit.
Since you are so sure about the M5 being faster than the QP, apparantly just because you love the brand name BMW, how do you explain the following on a SWEDISH track called KNUTSTORP? (this is taken from the other thread: Do you think the BMW M5 is the fastest Big Saloon?)

Looking at these track times, it is very interesting to see that the Maserati GranSport which has a power to weight ratio of 239 bhp/ ton (400 bhp and 1670 Kg) achieves a better track time at Knutstorp track than the M6 which has Power to weight ratio of 283 bhp/ton (507 bhp and 1790 Kg).
The GS track time is better than the M6's and M5's by 1.8 seconds.
According to these track times, I think it is very possible for the QP to achieve close, if not better, track time to the M5 at Knutstorp .
Now can you please explain this to us, since following your reasoning would mean that NO WAY that the Maserati Gransport would be faster than an M6 (which is a BMW so that is why you are going to defend it ).
Those times are rubbish if u ask me. LOOOL It even makes me laugh...1st of all on a track it's impossible for the m5 and m6 to achive exactly the same time....th M6 is more of a track car than the m5 (lighter, lower center of gravity and so on...). And on a track to tell that the m5 (or m6) puts out just 1,3 sec between the 330i is also rubish. Also the times ferarri vs carrera look a bit weird. The ford gt is faster than the porsche by just 0.5 sec?
You can keep telling me whatever you want...hey but when i'm going to be a multi milioneare i'll buy you a qp and race your heart out in an m5.
