I posted this link in another thread but figured that many of you may not have seen it.
Chrysler 300C SRT (the best 'fast' sedan the United States can produce) vs The M5.
No surprise who wins but it is surprising by just how much.
Plus its Clarkson.
[edit]
This is what happens when i don't do a search or even look for a simliar topic due to the time of night.
Same video is about half way down the page on this forum...... sorry guys
Seems to be a cut down version of the DVD that the 300srt clip is from.
I seriously recommend buying or at least watching loads of youtube clips from 'The Good, The Bad, The Ugly' DVD by Jeremy Clarkson. Its awesometastic x 10 [/edit]

Yep, its a shame no US manufacturer will do anything comparatively really hot in the way with sedan or coupe performance--at least not since the muscle car era. All the manufacturers are willing to do really well is the Z06, the Viper, and the top-dog Mustang (can't remember what it's called).

Comparing an $80,000+ car to a $42,000 car is a rather silly. Why not compare it to a 550i or 530i? The 300SRT8 would have easily beaten a 550i in any dragstrip, 0-60 or 1/4 mile, but who really cares? The BMW is hands down the better "driver's car".
