250km/h speed limiter is history?

Read in a Swedish newspaper today that BMW, Audi and Lexus has taken decision to sell their cars without the 250 km/h speed limiter!
Apparently there has been a meeting between the 3 manufacturers, where they agreed on this together.
327 km/h for the M5 then? Maybe not, but 300 km/h probably.

Makes sense to me--probably Mercedes too. This top speed truce agreement seems contradictory to the current horsepower wars!

My Ride: 535d Sport in Carbon Black / high gloss shadow line and beige leather / dark poplar with professional nav, bluetooth phone prep, CD changer, bi-xenon adaptive headlamps, servotronic steering, folding mirrors, heated comfort seats, TV, extended voice control and Logic 7 hifi.
In the UK press it was BMW Merc and Audi that had the meeting and Lexus said they would follow suit if need be to protect sales.
