Thats better than Dave's deal, you did great. Enjoy the car now let us see some picts.
Had I gone 24 mo, my payment would have been $1046/mo (with tax), but that IS still a good deal! He got way more off it appears than I did...$15k vs the $10K.

Can't wait to see some pics with those rims!

Ok my lease details for the $97k msrp ride ($82k cap cost): $5k total drive-off, $899/month plus tax, 24 months @ 10k miles/year. Is that a steal or what?
I just did the math with your given numbers, and since I just did my deal a few weeks ago, I am familiar with the figures.

Using May's figures, with 71% residual at 24mo and MF of .00258, the monthly should have come to $803/mo not including tax. What is the lease tax in California where you live? Multiply it by that tax rate, and that should have been your monthly payment. You may have rounded your MSRP and CAP COST? If you didn't, then these figures are correct, give or take $5.

Going back to April's finance numbers, since I am not sure when you did this deal, the 24-mo residual was 73% on 10k miles, with all else the same. Your payment on an April lease would have come to just $727/mo, not including tax. WOWOWEE!

I am still jealous, regardless!

LOL I leased in late March. The cap cost may be a little higher than posted but it shouldn't be more than a couple of thousands off. The dealership (New Century BMW) had the car advertised in the LA Times at $999/month, but when I arrived at the dealership, there was a red sticker on the vehicle which said $899 month so I made them honor their mistake ($2400 mistake, which the finance managers were arguing to each other about). Thanks.

My first post on this board. Last month I picked up my 2008 M5 fully loaded, sapphire black, HUD, rear heated seats, rear fold down, multi-function & active seats, ipod, soft close, shades, HD & SAT radio, primo leather and 6-speed tranny (so I can learn to drift, really). Ok my lease details for the $97k msrp ride ($82k cap cost): $5k total drive-off, $899/month plus tax, 24 months @ 10k miles/year. Is that a steal or what? Caveat was that it was a demo with 1700 miles, but that's ok, I didn't have to wait the first 1000 miles to press the "M" button and get my groove on!

I also bought a set of 20" GFG Basel 5 (three-piece forged modular wheels), which will be custom built and sent to me within a few weeks. I'll take some pix of the car when I get them installed.

Cant wait to see the new shoes poch!!

Come now...we shouldn't be exaggerating things by thousands of dollars! Sweet deal, however you got it! A 550i that I could've leased for $824 last month is now over $1K/mo due to the 4% drop in residual at 24 months. That's a big drop in 1 month. And, BMW raised the interest rates on the 550i, also. I guess I am keeping the M5, after all!

Gross cap was $84080 less $2233 cap cost reduction. Residual value is $70625 and depreciation is $12292. I initially bought the Safe Lease policy for $1075 but I cancelled it. Does anyone know if the Safe Lease policy is any good? I had leased 3 other cars and had no problems with excess wear and tear other than $280 for my last INfiniti M45 wheels that my daughter scratched on the curb.

At New Century BMW they actually had 2 M5 lease specials, one for $899 and $999. You just happened to run into the lower one. the reason i know this is that I was at the dealership this week looking at M5's. I inquired about the $899,000 and they said it was sold some time ago, apparently to you.

Best wishes with the car.
