So with the updates coming to the base 5 series - has anyone heard of changes for the M5 for the 2008 model year?

New changes for the 08 ///M5s won't be happening until later on in the year. Aside from the same changes as the regular 5 series the ///M5 will will also have a minor face lift change, nothing big.

Yep, just minor changes as in the regular M5.

I did a fair amount of research on this before i actually decided on ordering a 2008 vs. picking a 2007 up of the dealer lot.
IMHO, not only are the suttle changes to the 2008 worth the wait, i am certain that more bugs have been worked out of the model line. anyhow, check out the M5board link below for a good description of the facelift. Its a very good board with helpful members just like this one.
