What prices did the quote you for the different offerings? You said $3100 and also gave a range of $2200 to $5500 but for what? Extended warranty or maintenance?
The 2200 - 5500 was for the cost to CPO a M5, also after your CPO runs out you can get a 3rd warranty lol, I think it's 3 years 50k miles and around $4000

I honestly thought a few months ago there were some CPO M5's here....anyone else recall the same?
I remember, the dealer showing me the prices of the extended maintance plan that runs about 3k but no more than 4k which is for about 2 to 3 years but not sure.

I have been looking for a 2006 CPO M5 with 0 luck, the 2 dealers I talked with said they really do not cert these cars and if so the cost is over $5,000. Is this BS or the truth? Also I have never owned a BMW and was wondering if I say screw the CPO and just get a extended on the car will I be safe?
It was a 2006 Interlargo Blue car that was originally purchased on a 3 year lease. It has 39K miles (13K a year average). The car was offered for $50.000. It was NOT a CPO car. While doing the deal, we were informed by our sales man that BMW will NOT certify M cars. He said it costs too much to certify them. I was able to talk the car down to $46K for this vehicle. This will be 3 weeks ago this thurs that this deal was done. Last week, I was on the other Sacramento area dealership lot, and they have an 06 CPO M5 with 29K on the clock for $54995. I did some research, and found out we were misinformed. Dealer WILL CPO M5's, but it is up to the dealership whether or not they will do it. So, that being said, some will and some wont. Lucky we were able to pull the service history and this car has had no problems. Believe me, I brought this to the sales manager attention. I think they are going to work something out with my buddy to certify this car. There are a ton of 06 M5's out there right now. 3 year leases are coming up, and the dealers are getting them at the auction. Seems like you can get thses cars in the mid $40000 range. I think that is awesome, considering I built an 09 with the same options as my buddies and it was $95K! I have had an 06 and now an 07 M5....these are awesome cars! Good luck with the hunting, and if you have any other questions, feel free to ask. BTW.....my buddy is a service manager in a San Francisco Bay area dealer, and he says the cost on these to certify them is around $2800.......That might help you out on what you should pay extra in the price of a certified car. Just the service history, and that should give you and idea on the history of the car.....
