Default 20 inch rims - affect the ride ?

hi Guys

19s dont seem to fill the arches as well as they look on my e46 m3.

But 20s were always frowned upon as too much 'look' over ride and handling quality

Is this still the same thinking for the m5?

Mo

i had 20" Bayrin's on my old 05 plate 535d - it handled very well and ride was smooth also..

Just make sure you have a spare - as the AA refused to recover me when i had a flat on the M1 at 2M!!! as i did not have the spares or the original run flats on my car!!!

would love to buy a set for my 08 plate - but just cant afford it!

I have to say that 20" wheels fit the E60 wheel wells perfectly however you will lose quality of ride and they will more than likely be heavier than a 19" setup. Personally, I find the OEM M5 wheels look awesome and they are pretty light weight. I'd say if the roads aren't that great and you are concerned about ride quality, pickup a set of OEM M5 wheels, do a small drop and call it a day. Car will look and perform very well.

Yes mate - this is what ive decided to do.

Refurb the 19" M5 wheels i have on them now - get a 2nd set while thats being done not sure what yet
and drop 25mm at front only !

I love the feel of the such a big car into almost a smaller one, feels more nimble than my e46 m3 did.
