I think you should consider a CPO'd 535i

Take the m5, gas shouldnt be that crazy difference, since seeing as my 550 did 13.2 MPG for 4 months that ive had it.. But honestly, if i was taken back before buying my car i would of rather spent 5 more g's and gotten the m5 but it's too late now

LOL. My indy has 3 clients with M5, and he looks at their car when they bring it in, and says ALL of their MPG is 6... YES 6. Either they all drive like POO (aka, foot in gas) or they stop about every 1.75 days and fill up again.

You sure it's 18 gallon tank? I thought it was slightly smaller.

Patience will help you get most of what you want. Small price, less miles, it's possible but you have to wait it out for awhile. Couple years ago when I was searching for a daily driver (not my E60) it took me 3 months of restless nights on craigslist, ebay, cars.com, etc.. and finally found a car with super low miles at a decently middle price..

Pick the M5 if it will be your leisure car. It gulps fuel and can be expensive to insure and maintain if many miles are put on. The 550i is better on fuel, and insurance / maintenance costs.

If you are looking for a daily driver, you are better off with the 550. If you want a thrill ride then go M5.
